WNV and Mosquito Borne Diseases

 
  • Public health advisor with Washington Department of Health, Zoonotic and Vector-borne disease program. Responsibilities include investigations of diseases people acquire from animals: plague, hantavirus, and rabies. For the last 3 1/2 years, West Nile virus surveillance and response activities have become his primary duties.
  • BS in bacteriology and public health from Washington State University.
  • Professional experience with private industry, local and state government: food processing, water supplies, waste water treatment, food sanitation, and communicable disease investigations
